Both in and outside of the COVID-19 pandemic, homelessness rates for LGBTQ+ youth have soared. Bound With Pride strives to address this unique and growing disparity through an identity-conscious, liberation-based mindset centered on resource reallocation from local communities.
We schedule and organize drives in local communities, including schools, gathering both material and monetary donations to support homeless youth. You'll find us collecting, organizing, shopping, and campaigning in tie dye shirts in the East Metro.
We have worked, and continue to proudly work, with organizations like RECLAIM and Avenues for Youth to redirect and provide the resources we collect, all with help from people like you.
We promote monetary donations, build fundraising events, and attend local events to support RECLAIM's mission of accessible care to LGBTQ+ youth.
We hold drives for particular material donations in a variety of spaces to meet the needs of homeless youth in the Twin Cities -- youth that Avenues provides housing for.
Welcome, everyone! My name is Avery and I am a high school student hailing from Stillwater, Minnesota. I founded and organized Bound With Pride to cultivate a broader motivation to reallocate resources to communities in need, particularly to those who identify as LGBTQ+. As someone who is proudly a lesbian and female/non-binary, identity-conscious collaboration and action is imperative to LGBTQ+ support. In my free time, I love writing lists, singing in drive thrus, and counting stars. I hope you'll join me in this ever-expanding work!
